March is Nutrition Month

By March 1, 2017January 19th, 2022No Comments

Happy Nutrition Month! For the month of March I will be educating on all aspects of nutrition, the myths to look out for, delicious nutrition packed recipes and introduce health professionals that have paved the way for present nutrition knowledge. Hippocrates says it so perfectly:“Our food should be our medicine, and our medicine be our food”A fact that everyone should be aware of is that every person is unique, due to their DNA make-up or genes. Different variations of genes will react to nutrients in a different way. Multiple studies have come out saying caffeine is good for you, but many others have said the opposite. This may have to do with the sample groups genes and their reaction with caffeine. One variation will metabolize caffeine well and the other variation will not, causing issues in the body. How are you supposed to know what foods are truly healthy and beneficial to your body and which aren’t?
