Chiropody is a regulated healthcare service that assesses and treats foot-related conditions. Chiropodists aim to alleviate foot pain, improve mobility, and treat other foot-related health conditions such as nails, bunions, wounds, and plantar fasciitis. In addition, chiropodists can perform soft-tissue surgeries, prescribe antibiotics and antifungals, and provide orthotics to treat MSK conditions in the foot. A practical method of treatment in Chiropody is through the use of Orthotics. Orthotics are soles or footwear that aim to alleviate imbalances caused by conditions in the foot. Orthotics have been proven to improve various conditions rooted in foot imbalances, such as; the alleviation of pain in the lower back, knee, and hips.

Your first visit to one of our licensed chiropodists will involve an initial assessment, including a complete health history review and physical examination. This assessment is designed to determine the source of one’s symptoms and the best approach to treat them. Based on this initial visit and personal goals, the licensed chiropodist will establish an appropriate treatment plan for the particular patient.
