This evidence-based approach of partial weight-bearing gait therapy is effective for a variety of conditions including patients with:

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM LITEGAIT?
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Neurological conditions (i.e., Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis)
- Orthopedic conditions (i.e., weight-bearing restrictions)
- Amputations/Prosthetics
- Cardiovascular Accidents (i.e., Stroke)
HOW LITEGAIT THERAPY WORKS
The LiteGait provides postural and weight-bearing support for fall-free activities during therapy sessions. This device allows the clinician to be hands-free while working with clients of all functional levels and to focus on better quality and increased quantity of movement practice.
The LiteGait can be used during:
- Walking Training
- Balance Training
- Standing Activities
- Supported Sitting
- Quadruped Positioning
- In Conjunction with Cardio or Balance Equipment
This versatile device allows for therapy to be tailored to clients’ capabilities, needs, and goals.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR LITEGAIT SESSION
The design of LiteGait allows body weight support to be directed only where needed while facilitating normal weight-bearing. The overhead straps provide postural control and support for upright positions even for those who cannot support themselves independently.
LiteGait therapy enables clients to engage in progressively safely challenging functional activities throughout rehabilitation. The LiteGait may be moved on top of a treadmill to assist with treadmill gait training, or can simply just be used over the ground to assist with overground gait training.
The unique design of LiteGait:
- Facilitates proper upright posture and proper leg movement for walking
- Eliminates the risk and fear of falling
- Acts like an extra set of hands for therapists
- Frees the therapist to observe gait patterns and make manual corrections in:
- Limb Placement
- Weight Transference
- Step Timing
